I stared blankly at the screen of the Chromebook I was working on as Mr. A called for the students who'd visited the library during their lunch to check in the Chromebooks and games they were playing on. I sighed as I remembered that this was only the end of A period.
"50 minutes down, 100 more to go," I thought to myself while listening to the sound of chatter and the rustling of papers fade as people left the library.
I am part of the Writing Center colloquium, so I am available during, basically, every lunch period on Colloquium days. People rarely come in for an appointment, so I usually have a 150 minute block of boredom. Every colloquium, I wait excitedly for someone to walk in for a tutoring session, but no one ever does. I wish someone would create an appointment!
