The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy focuses on Arthur Dent a man that lost everything, and that everything was his entire planet, Earth. With his best friend Ford Prefect by his side he should be able to reach the ends of the earth, oh wait. The ends of the galaxy for Arthur it is then, now if only he had a towel. In all seriousness The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy has a great premise that sets itself apart from others in the sci-fi genre. It tells a complex story in a very comedic way which only adds to its uniqueness.
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is presented in a way that is sometimes confusing and it is easy to lose yourself in the read. It it is fast paced and introduces a lot of information from the start, but as you keep reading you will definitely start to understand the grand scheme of things. In a sense you are actually able to feel what Arthur is feeling throughout his journey. He is just as confused and overwhelmed as we are. Due to its method of storytelling The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is able to get the reader to understand the characters. Oh and of course it doesn’t end there, this is only book one five more to go on this amazing series.
Do you love to read books about self-identity, growth, and romance?... well this is a good choice for you. Although the main character, maddy, goes through some unusual circumstances, her phase of being a teen is both comical and relatable!
Author Nicola Yoon does a great job at building up excitement. This book will keep you on your toes and leave you wanting more.
